The challenge
Shouldering the company’s growth
VAUDE’s growth, the demand from banks for consolidated accounting, and ultimately also the internal desire for more transparency and more quickly available figures resulted in the search for a software program that could meet these requirements and additionally make it possible to plan over several years.
Those responsible also considered the source system’s previous lack of an Excel integration option as problematic because of the time-consuming aspect. For example, there was no possibility to integrate the reporting packages and evaluation. This all changed when LucaNet was introduced. “The user-friendliness of the software coupled with the high specialist knowledge of the consultants have convinced us,” says Erwin Gutensohn, CFO at VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG.
The solution
Integrated planning and standardized reporting
To map the past, LucaNet developed a reporting package for all subsidiaries. Alongside this, an interface for current and future data import from the financial accounting system was implemented. Contrary to the previously used Excel spreadsheets, the standard reporting offers much more reliability and, most of all, tangible time savings. The possibility of planning balance sheet key figures by integrated balance sheet planning without much effort also constituted a serious additional benefit for the CFO. To sum up, LucaNet made a convincing impression with its simple operability, fast integrated reporting, and reliable data.
